2000 CC 36V Need Help Increasing Speed

Regen -2 cart 48 volt, says so right on controller. Put in proper batteries and unhook speed sensor.

Well that would absolutely stink... Wonder if he could manage to return the batteries for 8 volt? Wonder about the battery charger too? Better check it out!

You can also add 2x6v batteries on the back to complete 48v.

Since the OBC will not work at 36v, you must have a different charger for 36v.

It has a 48 volt round charge plug also.

You guys nailed this, too. I did the OBC reset that is stickied on this forum and still had the light warning and over charging if I didn't monitor it.

I thought I would be replacing the OBC.....instead I will be purchasing 2-6 volt batteries or selling the current batch of "new" batteries at around 1/2 price.

Would it be better to replace the batteries at a loss, or purchase 2 more, wire it for 48 (and the added weight) and use them until they die in 4-5 years?

Where would I stick 2 more 6's? Under the back shell? That would probably require making a bracket to hold them, which isn't a problem.

Adding two more batteries would seem to be the cheapest, but what are you going to use the cart for. Also getting to those batteries to service them each month. Just me I think I would try to deal with the place you got the six volt batteries from and get the best deal you can for a trade.

Not me, that credit goes to mrgolf....

Depending on how long you have had them you might try talking to the shop where you bought the batteries to see if they might not be willing to take the batteries back in trade for the right ones? Either way your not getting off cheaply so you just as soon do it the easy way with 6 8's not 8 6's which would require more cables as well as mounts...
