Question Hour Meter

Morning...anybody using an hour meter to track run time on their cart? If so, what type of meter? If not, why not? Do you think it would be a good idea? Just looking for some feed-back.

To me an hour meter is a maintenance reminder. Useful for fleets, not so much for personal carts. I know how much use and abuse the cart has had. I know when the rear end lube needs to be changed, when the brakes need cleaning and adjustment, when the bearings need re-packing, etc. For me an hour meter isn't needed.

Smile Re: Hour Meter

Anybody heard of a vibratory hour meter? Doesn't require any electrical connection, has an 8year battery and activates whenever it senses vibration. Works for electric or gas carts or many other things. I have used it on my air compressor to check run times and for maintence info. Even had one customer use it to determine useage on a trailer...unlimited potential...most people don't know they exist. Just a little FYI.
