Going to paint Old School Ezgo..?
Hey, I am going to be painting my 1982 EZGO Golf Cart, And I am wondering how all of you guys are making them looks so good? I don't think spray paint from the hardware store would look too decent, am I right?
Also, I included some pics of how it looks now, I am thinking of doing red or tan |

Re: Going to paint Old School Ezgo..?
Remove all body panels from the cart, set on sawhorses, do all your prep work (dent removal, sanding, body filler, etc.), a few coats of primer, wet sand, a few coats of base coat (color), then a few coats of clear coat. Wait a few days, wet sand and buff for a beautiful gloss finish.
Go to your local auto paint supply shop and get automotive paint and a spray gun. If you want to save steps, you can use a single stage paint instead of the base coat clear coat, and the results are just fine, and it's typically a lot less work and MONEY. |

Everything is removable, it just requires a bit of effort. Some unbolting, drilling rivets, etc.. :)
You can do it all together the way it is, which is the way a LOT of people do them when they're that style cart. I have had to paint a few that way for people. Just make sure you prep everything properly, and mask anything you don't want covered in paint. |

This is rattle can technology. It only has on coat of clear here, and hasn't been wet sanded or buffed yet. I'm trying to learn patience, which is a hard lesson to learn. :(

It's metal, I would paint this cart without removing the body.
