We have seen several done that way here, it looks good and scratches shouldn't be an issue.

Unless its different than here, it may be too much $$$. I built a cooler toting wagon for a friend of mine out of a radio flyer wagon and we were going to have it line-x'ed red just on the inside of the tub and they local LX dealer wanted $200! A golf cart body is larger and I am sure would be above $500.

I don't know about Line-X but i know that Rhino liner is very expensive. There is some stuff that comes in gallon cans that you roll or brush on that is less than a hundred bucks.I know its not much help but maybe you can check it out at your local parts store.Good luck.

I used Herculiner on my cart and its holding up well. Down fall is it fades out to a flat black but on the flip side its paintable.

Wow, diggin up an old thread.

I've done Herculiner on a few of the plastic pieces of my cart, including the roof. It definitely toughens things up.

I've also had the swimstep of my boat Linexed with no grit, so it came out smooth, almost like paint but with a rubbery feel to it. They can definitely gouge you on the price. But they are privately owned franchises, so the guy has some leeway on it. The guy who did mine charged me $80.

My brother in law used Rhino liner on his cart and totally messed it up. The texture is way too rough. Line X, for me, is more suitable as it is not as rough on the hands or any other part of your body that might make contact with the surface.
