Default Big time drop in tire size. Pic included.

I took my 22x11x8's off my cart and got some 19x9.5x8's. I hope that helps my controller getting hot issue. I included a picture. I have to get me some more 8" rims to mount the new tires on. They were on an ATV and the bolt hole pattern doesn't match.

Speedy - Unfortunately, the controller damage is already done. Smaller tires are not going to help much, if at all...

I know. I'm just trying to prevent it happening when I put my 400 amp alltrax controller on.

Quit your sniveling and put your tires back on
The alltrax will be okay

I love these words of encouragement... especially after I went with the Alltrax. I like mine!

Alltrax told me you may want to put some spacers between the heat sink and the controller when you install it to help disipate more heat.

I havent done it yet but I might. Seems to be fine without them though

Spacers? I thought the plate the controller is mounted to is part of the heat sink? If you space it won't that hinder the heat transfer?

The plate is the heat sink. You are right. I am not sure, just repeating what I was told. I still have mine directley bolted to the plate(heat sink) and it is doing fine. Not getting hot.

Maybe someone else will chime in and let us know why he told me to do that.
