As I looked through a few i noticed that some had spline(ebay pics leave some things to be desired). They seem to be just the secondary only and not the helix and spring. Can you use the ez go helix and spring or will i have to buy that seperately? What kind do you buy chad? what kind of acceleration and top speed did you achieve? Sorry i have alot of questions...

yes on the rearend. I bought my cart with the engine already installed. the top end was blown when I bought it. Its a yamaha exciter 570 in a marathon cart. whomever built it did an awesome job. I did the rebuild and am having some carb problems but new carbs on the way. Got it up to 45 on gps and that was kinda sketchy! When you bought your secondary was the springs and helix included?

The PSI pipe is awesome, makes it really 'alive', responsive, better midrange by far. Could drive it around 1/4 throttle all day it would spin with no picks. I finally sold the one I had it sat around for years. It could be used on a stock sled you didn't have to do the clutch or anything, not even jetting, but the factory high altitude clutch kit really made it more fun.

Most sleds are 1 3/16 wide belt.

update... So i noticed that throttle wasnt opening all the way with the factory linkage. fabbed up new linkage with longer throttle arm and went out in the road to test. Pulled the front end up and hung a 50yd wheelie. Gonna go ahead and order that polaris secondary. Soooooo freakin fun!!!!

So here is the solution:

A Polaris ATV Driven Clutch!

The splines line up with the ezgo rear end... Just slide it on, bolt it up and off you go.

This made my cart twice as fast out of the hole and about 10 MPH faster on top. I am running a secondary clutch off of a 07 Sportsman 800 made by Team Industries.... However just about any of the Polaris ATVs will work. (I talked to the tech guru at Team and he said the 800 clutch is the best one to use if I could find one ($80 on Fleabay)
... There are lots of Ranger, RZR, 500, 700, 400 clutches out there.

It is a roller clutch that is fully tunable...

My motor is a yamaha 440 Fan Cooled that makes about 55hp

The cart flys now! So far I have hit 50mph and am still dialing it in. My rear end is 10.5:1 ratio.

Hope this helps some of you out that are building sled powered carts....
Hey guys,
I'm wondering if anyone has tried this driven clutch change in cart with a Honda/Briggs big block in it.
Seems like the additional hole shot & top end would apply no matter what engine is pushing it.

Can't compare two strokes higher rpm
to four strokes.

The only experience I have with this swap other than with my cart... Is a friend that told me it made a big difference on a stock EZGO

Guess the backshift is just that much better with a real secondary bolted on

I am running a RZR/Ranger Belt... I think a belt with a 1.20-1.25 top width is the best choice... I also have a Comet 102-C primary (these are adjustable)
