Default Hunting Cart down

1999 TXT 48V 400A SPM controller with F/R contactor
Cart will not move on acceleration or if it move it will quit after a short time. When it is acting up it flashes code 14. There is no way the controller is overheated because it acts up first thing in the AM.
Thanks

The controller probably gave up the ghost, but contact Alltrax to be sure.

Replace with the new SR48400.
It has a higher peak (460) and higher sustained output for longer durations than the older spm.
Also there is a fan kit option which extends the sustained peak by keeping the controller temperature down. This fan kit is included on all 500 and 600 amp units.

I installed a SR controller from Scotty today, went well until I went to test drive the cart. Cart flies in rev be just shutters in forward. I have double check all the wires and do NOT see any thing I have wrong. I did notice that my old controller (SPM) the M- went to A1 not A2 on the motor?

What happens when you swap A2 and A1 then?

swapped A1-A2 and the cart when in R went forward fine but when in R shuttered. So I put the wires back where they belong

The results of swapping A1 & A2 eliminates everything except the reversing contactor and theoretically narrows problem down to one set of the four sets of contacts within the reversing contactor assembly, not making good contact.

I'd verify full battery pack voltage is being dropped across the coil of the solenoid that is energized when each direction is selected and if it is close for both of them and roughly about equal for both of them, it is time to clean the contacts if possible, or replace the reversing contactor assembly.

I'd also take wire brush to all those connections, they look pretty rusty...probably not the problem, but will be eventually.
