Default 2010 EZGO txt pds motor spins but cart doesn't move

So I was just given a 2010 EZGO txt pds. The motor spins but the cart doesn't move. I thought maybe the hubs had stripped out but the nuts aren't spinning so I'm thinking the rear end has something stripped out in it. How hard is it to get parts for the rear end? Everything I have found so far is just complete rear ends for way too much money. I wouldn't be opposed to replacing it with a used rear end if the price was right.

You need to find the source of the problem. Remove the motor and you should then be able to pinpoint where the disconnect is. It can be the connection between motor and rear end. It's a splined shaft.

Can the input shaft be replaced. I've heard that these EZGO rear ends aren't serviceable. That the parts can't be ordered. Sorry I was a life long Yamaha G8 gas cart owner. I'm new to EZGO and battery carts

I'm a Yamaha guy so I don't know about getting EZGO parts like input shafts. Seems silly that you could not get any part for a common cart like that. I still think you need find the broken / stripped part before you can source a replacement.

You can get every single part for that Dana rearend, but as Volt said, check the parts with the motor off first.

Awesome thanks. I will probably drop the transaxle and pull the motor this weekend.

Remove your differential cover and see if anything turns while rotating a wheel or running the motor before you remove the whole rear end.

Ok I will get under it and see this weekend. I thought the whole rear end had to come out to access the diff cover.

I agree also but everything I had researched so far pointed to replacing the whole transaxle. They are a little over 1k. I was starting to think I was gonna sell the batteries and junk this thing.
