Default Help with wheels & tires

I just installed a lift kit on my EZ-GO Marathon and the cart obviously needs some wheels and tires. I'm looking for advice on what to get.

The cart currently has stock 8" center offset wheels and 18x8.50-8 tires. From the photo and measuring the blue vs red circles it looks like I could go as large as 24" tires and have adequate clearance with passengers and some bumps, but I'm thinking 22" or 23" might be better. I don't plan on off-roading, just cruising the neighborhood. The motor and electrics are stock. The tires could come out an inch or so. A 3" offset wheel would bring the tires about flush with the sides of the body. I am undecided on 12" or 14" wheels.

Any advice? Should I be concerned about loss of torque? Pretty flat here.

The 22-23” tires will be more widely availble I think. Most all of the aftermarket rims will be offset as well. You will lose some torque but being in FL I don’t think it’s gonna hurt you much and will give you a bit higher speed. I almost think a 12” wheel with a little more meat on the tires will look better on that cart but that’s just my opinion. That things gonna look awesome with some new shoes on it!

NICE WOODY! I bet all that wood adds a lot of weight. Might want to look into a higher torque motor in the future.

With 14" wheels you will have a Bronco buckboard.

Did you do the woodwork? hellava job..

most of the 22'' tires are for 10'' rims and 23'' for 12'' rims and up . I myself would get at least a 6 ply tire .

I guess I'm the odd man out on the tire rim opinion.
I prefer to keep the rim diameter as small as possible with a larger tire and sidewall.
For one, it looks more old school and fitting on the Bronco body.
The taller sidewall will give a better ride quality due to flex considering the original suspension design.
Depending on what lift you installed you might need to step up to a 10" diameter and that would still be ok with a 22" or 23" tire.
You get into 12" or 14" with a shorter sidewall and for one it will ride like a covered wagon and second, just my personal opinion, it will look like deejay Jazzy Cheeto coming down the street.

I went with 12" wheels 23" tires. I did the woodwork; still have a few finishing touches. The body weighs about 150 lbs.
