Default ZEVA monitor not responding

Glad I get to be the 1st to post in this section...well not really because I don't want to have this problem.

I was messing with the settings on my display a couple of days ago and adjusted the night brightness to 0% to see how dim it would be. Well my screen is almost completely blacked out now and will not let me adjust the brightness back up to see more clearly.

If I shine a flashlight or camera flash on the screen, I can barely make out what it says. But the display will not respond to to quick presses as if trying to toggle between screen to check individual cell voltages.

It does give an audible beep with a long press (as if trying to bring up the main menu) but does not do anything. Very confusing.

I've emailed Ian but haven't back yet.

Anyone else experienced this???

If you completely remove power from the unit and it resets will it bring it back?

Well, I unplugged the molex connector to the display hoping that would fix it, but it doesn't reset. I can turn off the power to the BMS by unplugging it from the battery pack, but didn't want to do that just less in case someone offered better advise.

Here's what the screen looks like with a flash of the camera; it's completely blacked out without the flash.

Still haven't heard from Ian. Kinda odd since he usually responds with 24hrs.

I know he's slammed with orders since there's a 2 week lead time according to the website, but has anyone been in contact with him lately?

Hmmmm.......your right in that you can't shut down the BMS unless you can "see what your doing." You could disconnect one of the battery cables (main cable....pos or neg) and that will shut down the BMS.

Then, upon reconnection, you can hit the little black button on the BMS and power it back up. But I don't know if that will get the monitor back to a re-set or not.

So....I'm not helping you at all. See what Ian says.

Well wait.....if you have a dim view like you show in the pic......you should be able to press and hold the screen to get to the settings and change the dimmer of the monitor. Right?

I unplugged the molex connector from the BMS tonight to cut the power to it in hopes it would reset the monitor. Powered the BMS back on but no change in the monitor unfortunately.

If I long press the display to bring the menu up I get a responsive "beep" but the menu doesn't pop up as usual. The monitor doesn't even respond to quick peck on either side of the screen as if toggling between screens either, so I can't check individual cells now.

Really weird since it went from working just fine to this now.

Darn..... Was hoping that would cause it to default back to standard settings.
