I am working on it, but my parts don't have near the dust on them as yours... Had to find out about the puddle of trans fluid in my garage today always something. I need a few details yet like a case gasket and so on. Think it took me 15 min to get my engine out last time when I drilled new holes to move the engine over for the clutch. Should be faster now that I got rid of that contraption to run the throttle and choke rods, all I have now is the cable to the CV carb. Though I'll want to run the puller into the clutch with it in the cart so I can hold it with the gen belt. However this saturday was the first one I had off this year, sure was nice to grocery shop instead lol.

One other note, that balance shaft is a BIG HEAVY hunk of metal. And yeah Sho lots of dust.

Spent a couple of hours today installing the fumoto oil drain valve. I tried all kinds of things but could only get the position pictured to work.

To the cylinder head. Used my HD valve spring compressor to change out the silver asian units to the comp cams gold units. I had zero troubles in my 170 hours plus with the originals.Glad I had the tool. Also glad I didn't try this change with the engine in the cart.

More on the cylinder head. I decided to use a stud coming up from the head to secure the valve cover such a the old y-block fords did. With this idea is the neat Aussie speed valve cover that I added the crankcase vent fitting to.Hope is it will be easier to locate the cover back on the head after a valve adjustment and the aluminum cover will add oil cooling.

Cool looking cover! I ran a hose from mine to my airbox so its all taken care of, when I put the new carb on. Uh oh, I put the springs on with some wrench I had. Would be nice to have a proper tool lol but I didn't know what one would fit.

I'd love to toss that balancer shaft, but afraid the cart would shake or something.

These are the parts I came up with. There not proven yet. The nuts were very pricey. I don't think I'm saving that much, I'm just getting exactly what I want. I haven't order the washers yet, I have to see if they'll fit. The nuts are flanged and with the washers will increase the studs foot print

You can toss the balancer shaft. Replace the crankshaft - rod - piston with ones from ARC which are balanced. I've looked at one of there cranks for an engine that used to use a balancer but with this crank no balancer needed.

I see fastenal has grade 8 or 10 flange nuts for less than $1 each. I did not see a grade on the ebay ones.
