Nice ride! I have a '73 four wheel electric Harley. It's cool. Not sure how long it will be electric, cause batteries are waaaay too expensive. I dig the fact mine won't look like every one I see cruising around the town I live in. Vintage carts are the only option for me.

Cool looking cart. Love the roof!! My very first cart build was a '78 electric HD.

i have researched batteries and the maintenance. if you run one a good bit batteries arent that bad of a option if you factor in the cost of gas, oil, winterization, etc batteries are a viable option. i have the battery testers and such, i also add epsom salts and i have had good results. this cart is a 69 and it is my dads cart. he likes it because it is quiet compared to a 2 cycle. note it is easier to buy a gas cart than to change one over to a gas cart. the rear end is different as well as the drive system and there will be extensive frame modification.

I see your point about the batteries. Thanks for that info! The wife does like the simplicity and quietness of the electric. What I like about these old carts is they aren't really worth anything money-wise, so doing crazy mods doesn't bother me. Mines gonna be a limo by spring. Lol

You are right Johnny, the sparkies are much less common. Here's my '68 I picked up in May. I drove it in our Fourth of July parade, it was a blast!

Terry, it's a good thing you didn't make one of these into a dragster, I get worried doing 15 mph down my farm road in mine with the squirrely steering...
