2000 Club Car Series cart is slow w/ new batteries
TinkerTowns here,
I have inherited a project with a 48v series club car DS. When I received the cart, it was operational but slow. I load tested batteries and found out they were extremely weak. So, I installed brand new batteries (6 8v’s) and is still just as slow. By slow I mean 5-10 mph. Since this is a series cart, there is no speed sensor on end of electric motor. Tires are 22” and haven’t had this issue before with series carts. Since there is no speed sensor and new batteries test great, am I only left with Motor/controller/solenoid? I’d hate to dump 500-700 in a upgraded controller but will do if needed. Motor part # is 101785701 Cart serial # is A0034-923324 Any thoughts? |
