Re: what model of this car
Yamaha G-2 cart
Will need the serial number to know the year. Cart was built from 1985-1991. Nice looking cart! Craig |

Yep, nice looking cart. It's missing the gas tank release valve (hole on top)

Re: what model of this car
ACTUALLY guys i believe it could potentially be a G9...notice the steering colum is black (i know the wheel is white but the wheel might have ben changed) and also note the rear roof supports where they meet the body of the cart, they come straight down in...G2's had them mount on the golf bag holder

Re: what model of this car
i actually think the aluminum muffler bearings in the second picture mean its a G1 right? i thought after 89 the EPA made them switch to carbon fiber/ kevlar muffler bearings because they now had twin vertical horizontal 3 stroke flathead motors, also with the addition of the "O" pipe on the air box u see there means when they rewrote part 5 of section .33 in the state emissions clause handbook guidelines, that part had to remain there for the life of the vehicle to reduce the black smoke from the diesel engines they put in the G2/ G9's, thats clearly the opposed twin rotated cylinder 3 stroke diesel motor in the picture there so my vote is that its a G4 like mine......except i could be wrong.....think itll blow black smoke?

Re: what model of this car
thats interesting that you would ask me that spriddle because you see there were no wheel weights on this model..when they came out with the G4 (as show above) they designed the entire cart to use only magnetic bearings...they are milled to such a high precision that if the wheel were to somehow wobble the magnetic gravitational pull would counter balance the movement and give you a nice steady ride :) i thought u were also a yamaha expert spriddle...no?
