Question G16 Clutch Puzzle

I replaced the rollers in my G16 a few months ago. It had locked up the primary. As was cruising doen the beach today and noticed it taking odd very sluggish. The belt squeels when you first takeoff but no after that. It feels like the primary is locking up but it is not. The belt is riding about halfway up in the pulley as soon as the engine fires. it is very rough taking off. I have taken the cover off and do not see any issues. I do have the torque spring in the secondary but that appears to be ok as well. Any ideas?

Check for flat spotting on the rollers under the cover on the primary clutch. They (rollers) should be round with no flat spots. And roll on their shafts freely.

The rollers were replaced a few months ago. I took the clutch off when we gpt home today and the only thing I see is a little wear in the main bushings. I am just sending it to Plowman tomorrow.

Make sure you don't have a broken motor mount or bad tension cable if your cart has one. If the motor moves towards the transmission under load it will bog on takeoff. You will see the belt climb the primary and stay at top of secondary. It will not do it on stands or jacked up.

Nothing looks broke or loose, clutch is on the way to Michigan as we speak. I went out and looked specifically at the mounts and they are fine. The bottom rubber dampers are pretty much flat though. Does anyone make a better or neoprene replaceement? I can't find any onlne. I can make them I guess.
