G'day Aussie, I thought I was the only one on here at the moment.

Re: Almost free 12v-8v Precedent conversion
Hi all,
Will be starting this conversion on my 06 Precedent next week! Had read in another post here or on another forum that said one would require the Powerdrive 3 to properly charge the new 6x8 volt configuration. Has anyone ever had issues using a Powerdrive 2 from the 4x12 for their new 6x8 conversion? Thanks, Gazoo |

Re: Almost free 12v-8v Precedent conversion
Man I cannot tell you how happy I am that I ran across this thread, just ordered 6 Trojan T-890 batteries because my setup has sucked using 4-12v. I will post my results as well because this is way better than what I was planning on doing

Very nice.
So that's what a nice clean battery compartment with new batteries looks like? Been so long since I've seen something like that, I forgot what it looks like. I like. |

Re: Almost free 12v-8v Precedent conversion
Hi all!
I'm new here and really liked the post on the battery conversion. I have a 2008 Club Precedent that I would like to convert for better run time and battery life. If I'm following the post correctly, I can fit 6 eight volt batteries in my existing battery tub without mods (other than the batter cables) and can use my existing battery charger? Can someone please confirm? Thanks. Walt |
