Re: 99 48volt club car won't move
seriously...it took you longer to find this forum, register, and post the question than it would have taken to fix that wire and answer the question on your own

Re: 99 48volt club car won't move
There is a wiring diagram at the top of this the club car section. The micros are basically a safety circuit, all micro switches have to be closed to activate the solenoid. So if one of those switches are broken or not connected then you don't close the circuit which will keep power from flowing threw the solenoid and thus no movement

Re: 99 48volt club car won't move
Although I thought your comments were funny, you guys should play nicer with noobs. Let him get at least 5 posts before you laugh at him.
At least he didn't say "Let me move this loose, dangling, rusty wire and perhaps the problem is behind it and now the controller is smoking". Some people are more cautious than us who are more likely to say "I wonder what will happen if I do this?......." Update: I came back and reread oxfordlawn's and gmorrison's comments and they truly funny. Sorry Jim, I couldn't help it. |

Re: 99 48volt club car won't move
Don't pay attention to the abuse.....The middle micro is for the reverse buzzer and would not prevent your cart from running. The one closest to the F&R switch itself is the anti-arcing limit switch and usually has a green with white runner and a white with black runner. It dis-engages the solenoid switch when shifting so you don't burn the F&R contacts. The one on the outside has a green, black, and white is the half speed reverse micro. You can pull the green and white off, then put the white and green together and omit the black and try the cart again. It will dis-able the half speed reverse but it may fix the problem. These micros will sometimes just fail or will get wet and not work. Hope this helps.

Re: 99 48volt club car won't move
If this does not fix it, check all battery connections....not just looking at them but try and wiggle them at each connection. Also will the cart charge ok?
