Default Ruff and Tuff Double speed switch

I just bought a 2007 ruff and tuff 48 volt electric golf cart. I have a "double speed switch" in the glove box. It doesn't matter if I have the switch turned off or on, it still goes the same speed about 12-14 mph. Any ideas why?

Are you sure that is stock switch? Some on here do a boost button....search in extreme dc section. Generally they add another battery or two.
Then again i dont know ruff models so maybe they offer something different.

It is a stock switch. It shows on the parts manual as a "double speed switch".

Then it must bypass the controller or some kind of 2 speed rear end operated by a elec switch. I do t have a ruff tuff so someone needs to chime in.

May have a Curtis 1268 controller in it that allows two modes. The switch puts voltage on I believe pin 20 to switch.

You need to give us a little more information before we can really be helpful. Find your controller and see if it has a part number on it.

How many wires/terminals are on the back of this switch?
