Cool Inherited Dead Club Car

Looking around the Web for information on the Club car I've inherited I ran across this site. It looks like an active group. Is anyone using their Club car Electric as a NEV (Neighborhood Electric Vehicle). I've previouslly installed a currie motor on a Recumbant Bike and this is a step up. or sideways from Vw building. Is there a Photo area? I've also got 10 14 volt VW Solar Panels to tie to my batteries.

Default Re: Inherited Dead Club Car

if the cart is dead 1st thing is to find out if the batteries are any good........if charger won,t come on than you can do two at a time with a 12 volt charger about an hour or two for each two........than get a volt meter and take voltage readings from each battery.........the charger needs to see 26 volts approx before it will come on................check batts. for water if needed use distilled water only can cover about 1/4 inch over lead plates.......than make sure cables and connections are very clean and tight...........what year is it? and is it 36 volt or 48 volt.......36 volt will have 3 water holes per battery 48 will have 4................................if the batteries are junk the 1st think you,ll need is to get new ones and if you want this cart reliable than don,t mix and match used batteries..............that might be your only problem so lets get that figured out 1st than we can go from there..............................
