Another deer on a cart
I shot a 9pt buck this morning and finally got the pictures I've wanted to take, a buck on my golf cart. I keep forgetting how small Texas deer are. I thought this one was a forkhorn yearling, but when I walked up to it I was pleasantly surprised that it was much larger and all rutted up. 130 lbs live weight. Looks good on an old Melex.

Thanks, I'm headed back out later today to make another try for the big guy. Temps are supposed to fall hard. 72 degrees right now, but gonna be in the 40s by noon. Hope that gets the deer moving.

I tried for the big guy again, but the deer are not coming to the feeders. What an acorn crop! The cart did help me get a deer though. I had given up this morning after hunting since Thursday and was driving the cart back to camp as slow as it would go. I let it roll to a stop when I got to the field gate, and there stood a doe down the fence line. I couldn't believe it. Grabbed the rifle and she was mine. I apologize in advance, I didn't have a rag to clean her up so the picture isn't what I'd have liked. Sure glad to have her in the cooler.
