Default Ezgo txt48 installed Navitas 440 and it is SLOWER than with curtis

Not what i expected. I installed a Navitas DC 440 controller on an essentially stock cart, except it has 20” tires. Prior to change, it’ll run 21 MPH on flat ground with the stock Curtis controller. I have no idea if freedom mode enabled but I’m sure it is. I bought cart used and it did this. Batteries are 4 years old, but still at 8.48v each, and holds 50-51 across pack. Installed Navitas, set max speed at 30, and turned all dials up on OTF, regardless of config, it tops out at 16mph now. WTF? I’d blame it on batteries, but if i take off the controller, put the stock Curtis one back on, it went right back to 21mph…. Am i doing something wrong, or will a controller alone, not beat freedom mode, i need to change something else?

Perhaps the navitas isn't configured correctly for that motor. It needs to weaken the field current at higher speeds to allow the motor to spin faster.

Call Navitas tech support. Your firmware is likely out of date and the new versions will fix your issues along with some further tweaking.

I had the same issue when I did mine a couple years ago.
