Did UNO Batteries go out of business?
Website is down. Facebook page gone. No response to email. Number disconnected. Seems they have just disappeared. Wow

Re: Did UNO Batteries go out of business?
Ridiculous they would do so without saying anything to their dealers or customers. Ridiculous. I'm going to reach out to Titan Power.

Might try contacting simicrintz, I think he used to visit them often.

Re: Did UNO Batteries go out of business?
Simicrintz is in touch with ECO Battery, not UNO Battery. Unless he was also in touch with UNO??
Scotty is/was a dealer at one point I think, or at least in contact with them. |

Re: Did UNO Batteries go out of business?
I actually got setup as a dealer with them. Only bought the 2 for these test carts. They worked great and were simple. But ****!

Re: Did UNO Batteries go out of business?
Well that’s pretty conclusive then. If you, as a dealer can’t contact them, what hope does a customer have.
So that’s Extreme Team and UNO Battery that have gone belly up, and Big Battery in some sort of conflict with their OEM manufacturer. Not good! From memory, didn’t UNO come on here touting that they were well established and had been manufacturing LiPo packs for the RC industry (or was it the Military) for years? |

Re: Did UNO Batteries go out of business?
Very early onto this Lithium battery conversion craze I reached out to many Battery manufacturers. My hesitancy to engage has always been warranty support 6, 8, even 10 yrs down the road.
I decided most of these companies were high risk for a dealer. From Uno we have 1 test pack, no sales. From Eco we have 2 test packs and many sales. However their partnership with Nivel Parts and subsequent price setting has diminished the incentive. So far 2 of the 3 test packs have been factory failures. Both failures were replaced by Eco and Uno respectively. Which is good but does not ease my apprehension about possible future warranty issues. For a dealer warranty issues are almost always loss of time or money regardless of the outcome. |

Re: Did UNO Batteries go out of business?
Unfortunately, I don't think we can count on any of these relatively small operations being around when we need the warranty in 5 years or so. So I wouldn't consider the warranty to be worth much except right when you receive and install your battery. (No matter which manufacturer you buy it from!)

Re: Did UNO Batteries go out of business?
Sorry Scotty, I thought you had become a dealer as you were trialing one of their batteries.
Agree with Volt_Ampare, 10 year warranty is great…..if the company is around to honour it. Fortunately, the most common failure point in these things is the BMS and that’s the cheap part. It can easily be replaced by anyone half competent in electrical things. The expensive parts, the cells are mostly quite reliable but unfortunately can be damaged by a bad BMS. |
