Smile how to load test battery if no load tester

I do not have a load tester..is there any other way of testing the battery's under load using a voltmeter...what should be the voltage drop at neutral and what should it be at full speed under load of the cart at full speed..in other words if I attach a voltmeter across the pack (48 volt) and say the reading is 50v with cart at full throttle (pedal to the metal) what should that reading be? how much of voltage should that be

you can do it with a volt meter like that.......a good 8 volt battery may read as high as 9 volts so do each battery when you press the pedal if its at 9 volts it might drop to 8 1/2 volts but should come back up close to 9 do that to all of them and write the readings down before during the press of pedal and after it comes back up.........post the #,s...................................

The average voltage of my batteries are about 8.5...when I load the batteries they will drop about .5 volt and I have two of them that will drop 1 volt but when I let up on the pedal they will come up to the original voltage. the test is with the voltmeter on each battery and the cart speed abut 12-15 mph..the battery's are 2 years old and they see about 3-5 rounds of golf per week..is there a period of actual use a battery can put out over time..in other words the more it it is used the less life it has, regards of how well you service the battery

Hmm, how does one safely test the battery voltage and press the pedal, which releases the brake? I'm obviously missing something - On jackstands?

The idea presented here is to use the cart as a load so the motor must be working hard. As it does when it accelerates quickly uphill.
Without a helper to read the meter it is a bit like texting and driving, reading th meter and going as rapidly as possible uphill..... but, it's not like all of havent't done the texting thing

Alright, here is the best way.
Since you use the cart for golf 3-5 times a week, use the cart as you normally would.
After the round of golf, jack up the back of the cart and with your digital volt meter, check each battery individually as you press the accelerator. Note the readings.
Post results here.

Take the cart to battery outlet have them load test them you can butt the cart against a tree and hit the pedal but its hard on the motor since you need to do 6 times and need to hold it there for 15 seconds on each battery

Sounds like a good way to burn something up. You should never stall the motor with power to it
