Default 1979 EZGO Electric missing parts

Firstly a big thank you to all of you who have posted info on here already, i at least now know whats missing from my cart! Its a 1979 electric resistor model, but only the motor,f/r switch, ign and an isolator switch and some of the cables are present!
Basically i want to get the cart up and running but without spending a fortune, has anyone modified one of these to run a different motor/speed control that maybe easier to source parts for in the UK? Any advice would be greatly recieved.
Regards
Matt.

If you have a cart junk yard around close just buy anything in the late 80's range with the controller and stuff to swap out into your cart. Old Marothone controller, pot, F/R handle linkage all from a 89 Ezgo. Get all of the parts that you can.
Your motor and F/R switch should work.

Anything before 89 will not have the controller I don't think. 1989 was the around the time they started doing away with the coils.

Thanks again, i understand the relevance of the photo now! (its 11.30 pm here and i've been doing my accounts all night!) If the guy dos'nt understand what im after then i will direct him to the picture.

Better test the motors ok as well before ordering any bits otherwise back to the drawing board! That said i do know for a wrecked Honda Fireblade that has a good engine...
