I thought so. Little harder to find I bet. I thought I read somewhere somebody heated up the muffler connection red hot and twisted it just a little to make it align with the MCI heads. If it comes to that. I do have a forge. Need to find that thread again.

I've never been into one of these little heads so bear with me but I gotta ask;
Where is the original bearing?

I mean, to me it looks like a typical case of a spun bearing. Why can't a machine shop line bore it and oversize bearings pressed in? Or is oversize bearings not available?

I saw in an earlier post about this being a crappy design, Surely they didn't do something bad like give it a Nikasil plating and call it a bearing did they??

There is no bearings in the head I disagree about the crappy design. The Pre-MCI engines were the best of the best. Just keep oil in them and they run forever unless you mess with governors

Ok so no cam bearings, Well in that case I'd say that head (and cam) are trash.

Dont say that! I'm to poor to give up yet. Hahaha. Besides that end piece of the cam that's half broke off the cam looks good. But it may cause issues later on. Idk.

Here's a question. Say I hone that journal out smooth. With the little bit I take out of it would it cause problems for the cam if it's too loose? Would that fraction of material removed cause vibration problems or cause the rockers to act up being just a little off?

I got to be honest. You got to have a cylinder head if you want this engine to work. Looks like you also need a camshaft. You will lose oil pressure when that engine warms up in the area that is trash on the head. Don't patch it up. I can tell you from many years of working on things that it will cost you in the long run. My my 2 cents.

You guys are right. Its donezo. I have a hard time giving up. Haha. I posted in the for sale forum that I'm in search of one. I swung by my local ezgo shop and he said the same thing you guys told me. He didnt have a head for me today. We checked his bone yard. Mostly 2 stroke stuff. But he did have a cart with everything thing I needed but it had caught fire. Hard to say if it was any good though. Not sure what that kind of heat would do to that aluminum. I've seen worse. But that cam may be good. He said I could have the whole cart just bring a trailer. I'll tear it down and see if any of it's any good. I'll post some pics of it and the parts and see what you guys think.
Thank you for looking out for parts for me and a really appreciate all the advice.
