Default G29 axle rebuild

have a 2010 and im thinking the axle needs freshened up if they can be or even worth it. seem i have to much play on the secondary shaft in/out and up an down

ok i have looked into a bit more and my input shaft moves forward a little when give gas and has torque, is the bearing and or complete shaft replaceable

Change the fluid, keep the rear hubs tight and call it a day.. they are good differentials

When you change the fluid, make sure it's either the proper Yamaha fluid or if not, add friction modifier as the internal braking system requires it. I know those axles are expensive as hell but have bearings just like any other axle which would be replaceable if it really needed it.

got my axle apart and is i thought bearing is toast, quetion i have is on the brake should i replace since apart, i did have good brakes but with all the metal from the toasted bearing wonder if they picked up metal

You've done all the labor for the brakes, now it's just the cost of the parts which IIRC, weren't outrageous (at least the friction material wasn't expensive). I'd do them and hope to never venture in there again.

yeah i ordered brake not to bad considering the input shaft was $390 ouch
