Disconnect the 2 wires from the key switch and splice them together.

Run 2 new wires from the key switch to the FNR switch.

Disconnect the red wire from the FNR that goes to the VGlide micro-switch.

Connect one of the wires from the Key Switch to where that wire was connected.

This will be the "Hot Side" or the always ON side of the key switch.

Connect the other wire from the key-switch to the wire that goes to the VGlide, that will be the "Cold Side" or the side of the Key Switch that only gets power when the switch is ON.

You can now wire any accessories: Voltmeter or Converter to your new positive key switch.

Use different color wires (or tape the ends of the wires with different colored tape) for easy identification.

Use the diagram below for reference:

So to confirm i understand this correctly:

Currently the switch interrupts the connection between the F&R micro switch and the negative terminal (blue wire and red wire to negative charging port).

The plan is to make that connection solid, and instead make the switch interrupt the connection between the positive and vglide micro-switch (red wire from F&R). Then i just need to either run another negative wire up to the dash or use the now solid negative connection for 36v accessories.

Makes sense to me

You got it

The FNR micro-switch will still interrupt the negative to the Solenoid so You will basically have an interlock in each side of the Solenoid.

Bump,
I'm just about done with my voltage reducer install on my 91 CC but have the same set up as the OP. Can anyone find the diagram so I know for sure which wires need to be cut/ spliced/ added.

Or do I just tap into the blue wire from the key switch and hope for the best? Blue goes to the F/R switch
The red wire goes from the key switch to the charging port.

Thanks
