Default 1995 Club Car DS charger issue

I have a 1995 Club Car DS S/N A9508 426441 that seems to be having a charging issue. The charger I have looks to have had an aftermarket micro processor timer added to it at some point in time. The problem that I am having is that after plugging the charger in for a while the timer indicates "charger problem". Any ideas as to what may be causing this problem? I have had it read "charge complete" before, but more times than not it reads the other. Also with the timer being added to the charger does this mean the OBC has been bypassed?

It seems that the supplier pulled the stock on these...because of the problems...suggest a replacement charger...I think ScottyB or Sergio would be able to recommend the best replacement. If you have one of these units already on your charger it probably means your OBC is bad.

Make sure the negative wire from the charger receptacle goes directly to pack negative (OBC current control by-passed).

Also check the positive wire from charger receptacle to make sure is making good connection with pack positive.
