Default New steering wheel installed

I am a newbie to the site, but I have been reading the forums for a few days. After reading multiple threads about stuck steering wheels on carts I tried EVERYTHING, block of wood, knees on the dash, and the old rubber hammer and WD-40 gimmick. Nothing worked except a sawzall to cut off the plastic exposing the metal hub. Then taking a dremel cut off wheel and cutting along the splines of the metal hub. Viola it worked. This is not as bad as it may sound was quicker than I expected, 15 minutes, and didn't get penetrating oil on my seats. Just hope this helps someone else that was in my situation. Thanks

very nice! i just learned today that when i removed the collum and set the edge on a block of wood, and smack very hard with a big hammer and a punch so ya dont screw up the threads,it will drop the shaft right off the wheel..mine wheel hasnt been removed in 28 yrs and it wasnt moving the other way..this worked for me thankfully

As a very nice surprise when I removed the old steering wheel I slide the black steering column cover off to discover that its a very nice aluminum shaft underneath. Think I'm gonna get a little aluminum polish and see if I can shine it up for a free polished steering column. LOL!!!! BTW Super stoked to be on the site its AWSOME!
