Club Car Carryall II won't start in neutral
I just bought a '95 Club Car Carryall II, gas. When stopped, I would like to keep the engine running by shifting into neutral before stopping or stopping, putting the lever in neutral and then restarting the engine. Can anyone help with this?
Also, I've been unable to find a wiring diagram for this car. Does anyone know where I can find one? Looks like a great forum. |

Re: Club Car Carryall II won't start in neutral
You should have 2 micro switches on the back of the forward/reverse switch. On the one that is mounted out closer towards the back of the cart, remove the 2 bottom wires and connect them. This should allow your cart to run in no matter what gear you are in.

Re: Club Car Carryall II won't start in neutral
hey Killer, been working on my 95 club car carryall, Lift is on thanks to you and started putting my old clone in last night. When you push the peddle it only turns the S/G in neutrail. If you put it in forward or reverse nothing, Want turn anything over. Got any ideas thanks

Killer figured it out. don't know how the little yellow thing on the F/R got turned but it was. Starts in foward and reverse but wont trun over in neutral. My older cart turns over in all 3 but I'll keep fighting with it. Always any thing you know will be helpful

The,"little yellow thingey", is put there so you can run it in neutral for maintenance or repair.

Re: Club Car Carryall II won't start in neutral
I'll take a pic next time I'm in the shop. My older cart that turns, crank, and runs in all 3.. F/N/R. I noticed that it has a small screw put into the yellow thingy behind the F/R switch. I'm going to take it off my old cart and put it on my newer cart to see how it acts. I'm thinking somebody done this to do away with the safety issues. But if it works for the cold start-ups in neutral to let the engine run a few mins before taking off might be a good thing.
