Default Rear wheel bearing

89 ds .. how exactly do you get the bearing off of the axle??

Removing the old one, if you don't have a bearing splitter or a press, cut it.

Ok .. is their a little collar in front of ot that has to he removed first ?

well i cut all of it .. think i could reuse that collar if its cut? maybe like a 2 part metal epoxy? or just pony up and buy a new one?

Remove the C clip and pull the axle out of the rear end. Then set up the big bench vice so the axle is loose between the jaws and the bearing is hitting both jaws. Lift and drop the axle creating a slide hammer effect to pound the bearing off the axle. Or you can use a center punch and hammer to drive the axle down out of the bearing.

i had a map gas torch on it and and i couldnt get the "beaering stay" off to save my life. so i cut it and the bearing tapped right off

the problem im having is finding a new one
