2015 club car gas rear end
Hello all I have a 2015 club car precedent gas with a 23hp big block kit and the gear selector rod which goes into the top of the rear end has lost the guide pin and now the rod just pulls straight out of the rear end and is stuck in neutral. Please let me know what needs to be done to get this fixed??

Re: 2015 club car gas rear end
Which rear axle is it? Graziano or the Fuji? Graziano axle was paired with the Kawasaki engine.
The Fuji Axle came in the Subaru EFI engine carts. If the whole rod is pulled up out of the trans then the only way to fix that is going to be to remove the trans and split the case. Find the pin, replace it with a new/better pin. Reinstall the rod to the selector lever in the case and then put it all back together. |

Re: 2015 club car gas rear end
It is the Graziano. Is this a big job or can the average car guy do it? Does the whole rear end have to come out of the cart or can you get just the trans out? Sorry I am new to gas carts. Debating on taking it to a golf cart shop. Thanks for the reply.

Re: 2015 club car gas rear end
Engine and everything has to come out. Not really that big of a job if you have some big jack stands and a large floor jack.
Basically remove wiring, cables, etc, then unbolt the shocks, leaf spring ends, set the rear wheels on the ground and move your jack to the front of the engine cradle, roll the whole chunk back a few inches so the front mount tab will clear the frame and then lower it down all the way and roll everything out from under the cart. It is possible to remove the axle without pulling the engine as well, but you need a way to support the engine cradle and hold it in place. And the bolts to separate the axle from the cradle are a pita to get to with everything in the cart. Either way, once its out, stand the whole thing up on the left wheel. Might need to strap it to a 2x4 or bench leg or something just for temporary stability. Remove the right wheel, right axle tube, then you can remove the bolts that hold the case half on and open it up. |
