Battery Charger not turning off
Hey all! New to the forum and appreciate all the insight!
Posting today about the battery charger not turning off. I plugged in the cart last night after our normal drive downtown. Plugged in around 10:30pm. Went outside into the garage this morning around 7 and it seemed like the charger was still on. I opened up the hood and heard the battery water boiling. The charger light was BLINKING at 100 yet i still heard the charger on. Is my battery charger ok? Any advise would be appreciated! Some back round on cart. Cart is new, about 50 miles. Have done all of the reprogramming read about on the forum. Just filled battery water for the first time making sure not to over fill two days ago with distilled water. |

Re: Battery Charger not turning off
I went ahead and did the cluster reset procedure. Left plugged in and the charger turned off after 30 minutes of charging. Will update with any more info

1.Charge cart fully 2.Unplug Charging Cord 3.Drive Cart for a minute or two, return to charging cord Turn Key switch to off position 4.Plug Charging cord in Wait for lights on charger to light up on charger display 5. Cycle Key on and off position 4 to 5 times This should recalibrate the cluster and reset the charging meter to 100% I then left charger in at that point and it shut off after charging (im assuming) the amount i drove for the minte or two in steps above |

Re: Battery Charger not turning off
The cluster issue is a warranty item. If you call your dealer they should replace it for free. There have been a number of people with this problem.

Did your reset solve this issue permanently? Not sure what to do, I don’t want to fry these brand new batteries. I have the 8 6v Conversion. |
