Default Lowering roof

Hey all,
I have a 2020 EZGo L6 that’s a smidge too tall for my garage. I’ve found some roof hinge kits only but I was wondering how well they work.

Has anyone used a roof hinge kit to lower their roof while in storage?
If so, which one and how do you like it?

Thanks

Usually it's the rear of the roof that rubs. One guy I know uses several bags of playsand to weigh down the L6 enough to get the roof to clear when moving it in and out of his garage

Seems like it’d be a pain in the *** to raise and lower the top every time you drive the cart.
If it’s just a couple inches why not just “chop the top”?
You can slice out 2” (or whatever you need) from your roof supports and weld them back together, or if you and/or nobody you know has a welder you can find some square tube or even pipe that fits inside your support tubes and sleeve them back together, drill a few holes and bolt it together.

And it’ll look a little cooler too.

Nice idea to chop the cart, but how will you cut the windshield, probably the fold down one?

Cut it on the bottom up to where the top would clip on

If you only need an inch or so clearance, try adjusting the garage door to open a little more which should give you more clearance.
