Default Allied Lithium - General Battery Questions

I have had 80AH Allied Lithium (4 x 12.8v) for almost 2 years now, and they have worked great. Recently my cart died, and it turned out to be a bad solenoid. The solenoid was replaced, and I was back in business.
Here is where the Allied questions come in. About 10 miles of driving after the solenoid replacement, the cart died again on the golf course. My SOC meter showed it dropped from 50.XX to 39.xx, which indicated a battery was gone. I got pushed in, and used my voltmeter to determine one of the batteries was at .5 while the rest of them 13.x. I spoke to Allied, and they asked me to run them in parallel to balance them back up. I had a balancer from them on it already (although i realized I hooked it up backwards when I finished the solenoid). They told me to pull them and leave them in parallel for 24 hours using 3-4' 16/18 gauge cable. Since it was still at the course, they offered me a replacement battery. I put the replacement in along with a new balancer (hooked up right now). They still recommend running in parallel for 24 hours and then conditioning them 2-3 cycles on the charger. I don't have those type of cables, but after 1 charge cycle, they are still slightly off. Thoughts? Do I have to buy cables and run them in parallel or will the balancer get them back to even by itself?

Default Re: Allied Lithium - General Battery Questions

That wire is nothing special. If you have a piece of Romex house wire strip the ground wire out and use it. This is how I connected mine.
