So last night i mounted the Jake’s sub frame in place, i upgraded all the factory leaf springs bolts because only side was completely shot, probably a good time i took it part, was only a matter of time before they completely rusted out. I went with grade 8 M12-1.75x40mm, very pricy lol . I for got lock nuts so I’ll pick those up today and hopefully wrap up the front end tonight and move to the back.

Just ordered all new brake cables and complete brake drums so we can actually stop lol, I pulled the trigger on the 6:1 gears too , its been an expensive week

So i picked p the lock nuts and got them installed last night, I also installed the A-arms and coils for thee lift. Everything bolted up as it should have, directions are not the best but its pretty easy to figure out.

As for removing the stock spindles from the factory lift, OMG terrible! I’ve never really messed with these, why if what isn’t broken . That being said the driver side bearings where completely shot and rusted out. I cleaned out what i could with brake cleaner and now both the spindles and hubs are soaking in parts cleaner solution until i get home.

I was gonna replace the spindles but they will clean up just fine with little steel wool and some paint, the new bearings and seal should be here some time this afternoon.

One major thing about this, Jakes 6209 expects you to use your tie rod ends, my cart is a 1999 or 2000. Pretty sure the tie rods are original so i ordered those as well. The front end should be rolling by tonight.
