Appears to be a SLI (Start-Lights-Ignition) battery.
Deep cycle batteries are needed for golf carts.

Ugh ok so the wrong batteries were purchased. Without deep cycle, what will happen? Way too fast battery drain?

Very little run time, very short lifespan.

That battery only weighs 33 pounds and a 6V deep cycle battery weighs 60 pounds or more.

Unfortunately, O'Reilly's doesn't give much info on their deep cycle batteries.

Thanks for the info. I have a family member that works at O’Reillys so the discount is hard to pass up. I am returning these batteries and using the credit to get these deep cycle ones.

Again, I appreciate the assistance.

Just wanted to make sure I understand all this information which is very helpful, I should charge my batteries as often as possible to keep get them and keep them at peak efficiency? My charger has an auto shut off and I get to 37.1 volts 24 hours after a charge. Should I charge them everyday to get them to peak efficiency 38.2 volts ? What is considered over charging? I purchased them in 2018 and I doubt I have charged them 50 times since purchase. I remove my batteries in the winter and store them indoors after a full charge.

I charge batteries after every use of the cart.
During the off season when not used I charge them every 2-3 weeks.
Be mindful to check water levels at each charge.😊

Just a quick one.
When my battery meter indicate empty, it's empty (50% soc) or empty (i'm damaging my pack now you shouldn't let it go this low)?
Thanks

A volt meter is the only true indicator of battery charge or soc.
Invest in a multi meter or digital volt meter like the meter sold by carts unlimited ,a vendor on this site.
Battery “indicators” are not an accurate soc for batteries 😊
