94 Club Car DS drives Forward in Reverse and Reverse in Forward

Glad I found this group, hope someone can help.
I am trying to repair a 94 Club Car DS at my new job. We have 3 electric and one gas cart all of which I will need to keep maintained. The previous guy was fired and so I have to figure out what he was doing. I simply wired up the torn apart key switch, repaired some other wiring, gas and filters and got the car running but it runs in Forward when in Reverse and vice versa. What? It seems to run pretty well otherwise. I just took off the reverse buzzer wire and drove it around a bit. I checked the wiring and all seems right with the diagrams I found on this forum and the switch seems right.
I was going to change out the old micro-switches too, cause they are old and since I have replacements, but the threaded rods that secure the switches snapped off. I am trying to find replacement threaded bars and nuts for the micro switches and the key switch terminal screws too. Any help with these things would be much appreciated.

Start with the basics. Early Club Car FE290s (92-96) were counter clockwise rotation and later (97 up) FE290s ran clockwise. Those directions are looking at the engine from the clutch side. Your 94 chassis would have been counter clockwise originally. Any idea if the engine or transaxle might have been replaced sometime in the carts 24 year lifetime?

Thanks for the reply. I have read about the rotation differences but it just doesn't look like anyone has messed with anything in that area. Its as dirty as everything else, whereas the stuff that seemed to be recently messed with was cleaner or you could tell where work was being done but not completed. I have no idea what has ever been done to the thing. We are a non-profit so most of our stuff is donated at some point and I don't know anything about what the previous guy did, so Im working from zero history. Also, I've been told the thing was running fine before the key switch and light issue that the guy was apparently working on and that was only within the last several months.

Did you connect then disconnect the reverse buzzer?

The buzzer unit was already wired up, I dont think I removed the connectors from the buzzer unit itself. Just removed the wire from the key switch to keep it from buzzing while I was test driving it in Reverse, going forward.
