1.25x2' delrin from McMaster Carr was $15. It won't machine as easily as bronze, but it's better than most plastics. It won't require grease, but I'm sure won't last as long as bronze.

Made those delrin bushings today. Turned out pretty good. Steering tightened a bit and my upper a arms don't twist anymore. Hopefully they last.
