Default Fender Flares

Hey Guys

Im trying in install some Fender Flares on a Camo Hunting Cart that I have built. Im down to the end and Im trying to install the fender flares. Its a 2010 Club Car Precedent. My problem is where the flares connect on the front. The plastic cover that covers were you bolt the roof poles too just seems to really be in the way. Any ideas on how to attached this?????

Thanks

Mine screw from outside to inside and it goes over the lower half of pole cover which creates a gap for mud etc to come threw.
