Limo Beach Bruiser
I've had a Marathon for a few years now and ran across this gem a few days ago!! First project is to replace the ugly topjob someone did with some tube bent 1.5 round with aluminum top... and some electrical upgrades as well... We just bought a condo in Galveston so it'll be making trips to be beach very soon!
I wanted to test out ramps from Harbor freight I picked up on the way home today... they don't work too well.... I've got a boat/rv/mopeds/toys that is planned to be pull behind the truck with golf cart in bed... Something about like this is what I plan to construct next week... |

Re: Limo Beach Bruiser
You are going to haul that limo in the bed of your truck?!

Re: Limo Beach Bruiser
You need ratchet straps from the ramps to your truck or the cart will spin them out every time. And I don't see that shortbed truck carrying a limo cart.

Re: Limo Beach Bruiser
The straps may have helped , but the end of the ramps bent up.
Short bed p/u & limo cart = no towing |

Re: Limo Beach Bruiser
Yeah I know it's short. I pulled on to do some final measurements. Weird as I was just stepping off and they broke.
It'll ride in the bed 1 way or another. |

Re: Limo Beach Bruiser
I had that happen to a set of ramps I had, scared the hell out of me. Now I have some from home depot that have held up but still nervous when using them.

Re: Limo Beach Bruiser
Nice cart! I am digging the trailer hitch bed extender too. Pretty sweet idea.

Re: Limo Beach Bruiser
But if you use the hitch to make your bed longer, you can't hook any trailer, so why not just use your big trailer ?
