Default 1981 Club Car electric to gas build

Hey guys. I just picked up a 1981 electric club car with no batteries. So I decided I am going to put a good atv or motorcycle engine in it. What are some good cheap ones that would be easy to install and make decent power. I know this build will be challenging but I think I can handle it. Also what issues will I run into. Thanks guys.

There is a great wealth of info right here in these threads, just about any engine/cart combination including all the potential problems you will ever run into, read and learn, that's the best way. For anyone to say which is the best would just be thier opinion.

It has an all aluminum frame. It seems very tiny under the seat will a quad or motorcycle engine even fit?

Oh and also can the aluminum frame handle the power of a 400cc motor ? Or will it twist?

You can fit a cycle or ATV motor in there. some even do snowmobile motors. as far as the frame strength, it should hold up. but when in doubt add cross members and bracing! I am a big believer in over building! Good luck!
