Default 1981 Club Car DS hunting/farm build

This is my first golf cart and it ended up being a 1981 club car thought it was a 1988. I'm doing the following

converting to solid state
converting to 48V
installing a D&D Beast (had to order a newer axel my dif was a 16 spine)
installing jake's universal winch mount and 1 ton winch
installing Jakes 6 inch Double A-Arm
bought 23" tires and rims
installing a cargo box
installing a aftermarket dash
installing a light kit
need new seats and the back of the front seat hardware

I don't have a top are the hardware for one so watching the facebook groups for one
here are some pictures of progress so far.

thats is it when i bought it.

This is when i found out it was a 1981 and not a 1988 after order some parts

Striped down and the new rims and tires

This is as of tonight. Installed the front of jake's 6" lift, front tires, jake's universal winch mount, winch, and one head light.

Very nice! Have you thought about running a voltage reducer for the winch and headlights or are you doing a stand alone 12V accessory battery?

going to have to use a stand alone 12v. The reducers can't handle the amp pull of a winch.

Gotcha!

Have you thought about HD rear leafs for the toolbox install to hold the weight of your killed game so the body doesn't drag on the tires?

not too much more done yet waiting on parts. Took the old axle and springs off. My motor came in friday 48 VDC D&D 170-004-0002A, and the new axle should be here tomorrow. Had to order some more parts to finish the lift in the back. Ordered the newer style spring plates and shocks that have the straight steam shocks instead of the eye shocks. also order the front roof supports and a windshield. Should be picking up a top off of a precedent. Some pics.

Coming along! I'd love to see some pics of the battery tray area since you're doing the solid state conversion. I'm in the middle of one myself on a 1999 DS. Just waiting a few more items to come in from Scottyb.

Well i didn't see this one coming. I have to take the rear lift bracket back off in order to slide the new motor on the diff lol man and that motor is heavy.
