Default Throttle issue?

On my 91 par car when I push the gas pedal the arm on the carb barely moves

I posted in your other thread but lube the throttle cable. Also disconnect the governor cable. You don't need it anyway and they quite often seize.

I had to lube mine as well for the same issue. I just forced wd-40 down it. There are kits made to lube cables and there are youtube videos on how to force lubricant down the cable.

These cables work in reverse of what you expect. When you push on the pedal the cable is pulled by the springs on the carburetor so these cables need to be lubed to work correctly.

is the governor cable the third cable? if disconnected, do you need to add a return spring to throttle cable?

Actually I had a spring missing on my throttle cable. Now I gotta buy a new microswitch and I think I'll be good to go
