Default General question about DS Club Car

I have a 91 Club Car with a SN beginning with "HA". That could be funny but, my questions;
1. What does Series mean, insofar as the type of Electrics?

2. There are six 6 volt batteries, two are Trojan T605's, the other four are
Procraft P2200's. Are these the proper Batteries for this car?

Thanks

Welcome to BGW oldngrey!

Per the Club Car designation list:

HA = DS 36V solid state (1994)

I'm not exactly sure what the (1994) means, 91 rebuilt in 94 maybe?
That's all the info the list gives me!

And... I'll let someone else chime in for your other questions...
(they may answer them better then me!)

Trojan T105 are the original batteries for your cart..... Any mixed set is bad news ......

Yep... It would!
(sometimes this list throw me for a loop, and I try to guess what it means!)

1994 parts book??? (sorry... still trying to guess!)
From what I can tell... the "HA" listing is the only one that says "Solid State"
All of the rest are "Electronic controller"... "regen"... "IQ"
(Maybe the earliest form of controller?)

And to try to answer your questions oldngray... (corrections are welcome!)

From what I understand:
Series = it's how the electric motor armature is "wound",
and, are one of the most wanted for upgrading to 48 volts or higher!
(with "somewhat" minimal upgrades)

The newer CC motors are "Shunt" wound (Sepex...Regen...etc.)

The actual difference between Series, and Shunt... sorry, that's over my head!

As for your batteries:
Trojans are the proper batteries, I googled Procraft, and didn't find anything!
so I can't help on those!

And I'll agree with scotty... mixing batteries is a bad idea,
and is only a temporary solution to get the cart running!

If your cart is charging fine... you'll be good for now,
BUT... count on replacing ALL of them sometime soon!
