I'm in the same situation: RXV clocks 15mph. I'm having a local dealer come reprogram tomorrow but I'm anticipating a 'standard' freedom update and only getting to 19/20mph. I may need to contact Bob! I'll post updates along my journey.

I would wait and let Bob do it. He can turn it up more than the dealer and will probably be cheaper.

Would a stock controller and Bob’s magic work in a 2014 RXV, with a lift, back seat and 20” tires?

Just picked up a 2017 RXV. Does this model have a Curtis controller? Been thinking about a Navitas controller for a speed upgrade. However $1000 is pretty steep. Any recommendations?

A 2017 will have a Curtis controller in it. It will probably have a 7.0 or higher SW revision which means it can only be reprogrammed to go 24mph max.

Thank you! Dealer turned it up to 19/20 mph on stock 18 inch tires. I plan on upgrading wheels and tires to 20.5". This should give me a few more mph correct? I'm located in Missouri and would like to know if anyone close can reprogram. TIA

Yes, you'd get about 14% more top speed. It's simple math. Freedom mode turns the factory speed to 19.5 mph, this is based on motor RPM turning 18" factory spec'd tires. So if you do simple division:

20.5/18 = 1.13888888 (increased diameter of different tires)

Take that number and multiply it to 19.5...

19.5 * 1.13888888 = 22.2 mph
