Star Classic 1243 controller settings

I am rehabbing a Star Classic with the 1243 controller. The original was fried. I purchased a replacement on Amazon. It did not have the proper settings, had to change voltage and throttle settings to get it to work. It works fine until you let off the throttle to quickly, regen will literally bark the tires. I have tried changing several braking related setting with no success. I was wondering if anyone had a .cpf file that I could use to clone a properly running machine's controller settings. I suspect that what I purchased is a cheap Chinese knock-off but can't verify without the correct controller settings.
