Default Re: 16 Cell LiFePO4 48V Pack Build - Tomberlin

It's all put together now but it is not working. I am getting the error "Cell count is not equal to settings"

I notice that cell 1 in the app has red dashes next to it. Is that normal (I see pictures in the manual where cell 1 is in red) or is the BMS trying to tell me that the problem is the wiring to cell 1? If that is not what it is trying to tell me I guess I need to manually check continuity for every wire?

I have 52.9v on the cells so everything seems to be good there. I have not hooked up a charger to the pack yet. My settings are attached, maybe there is a problem there because all I did was to select the LiFePO4 preset and set the number of cells (supposedly) and the battery capacity.

EDIT: I manually checked continuity on all the wires from the BMS to the cells and they are all good.

Check all your connections again. Check the plug into the BMS. Do you have the pos and neg small wire hooked up to the BMS correctly? I can’t see clearly enough but do you have the B+ and B- wires for the JK BMS hoked up to what is the 48 volt output of the pack?

Yes the pos and neg for the BMS are hooked up to the 48 volt output. Is that not correct?

Yes, as long as you have the small sense wire from the BMS labeled B+ and B- hooked up that is correct. I only see one ring terminla on your + and - on the pack.

Something seems off to me, your cell 16 is the most negative cell? where does that #16 sense wire go on the BMS ?

The red wire on the left labeled B+ has to go to your #16 cell for your positive output. The black wire on the right has to go to the negative output.
