Another charging issue
I've got a 2000 CC DS. Last night I plugged my charger in (about 5 PM). Coincidentally I was monitoring the AC current draw of my charger. (I am surveying my power usage to change my electric power usage rate plan.) The initial AC amp draw was about 9 amps and decreased linearly (more or less) to 2.8 amps by 11:30 pm.
This morning my sister needed to borrow it (about 7 am). The charger was still charging, drawing about 2.8 amps AC. (That's about 14 hours total charge time.) I unplugged it and she used the cart, but her golf round was cancelled and brought it right back a short time later.
So I plugged it back in to the charger to finish the charge at 6 pm this evening. The charger quickly decreased from drawing 8 amps to 2.6 amps within 30 minutes. It is now 11 pm and the charger draw is still 2.6 amps (the charger ammeter reads 5 amps DC). The battery pack reads 59 volts with a multi-meter.
It seems to me the batteries are fully charged, but the charger won't turn off. Opinions?
