Default 2015 EZGO 48 TXT going extremely slow.

I have a 2015 48 volt TXT with a Navitas controller, the batteries are about a year old and seem to be in good shape. The cart was running fine yesterday, then I decided to give it a much needed bath. After I let it dry a couple of hours I went to park it in my garage and it would barely move. The batteries are currently at about 55 volts and it will go 2 mph in forward and .77 mph in reverse. Could I have gotten water into something I shouldn’t have (this is actually the first time I’ve washed it and didn’t use a pressure washer, so the spray was pretty controlled)? On a side note, I noticed that the reverse alarm was much quieter than normal but this happened a day or so before it started going slow. I would really appreciate any input!

I’ve been looking at potential reasons and one I came across was a bad speed sensor. I just went out and pushed it and there was definitely some resistance and it beeped. Also the alarm was back to being as loud as normal.

That seems to indicate that the speed sensor is working.
